Chronicles of Barsetshire

I have been meaning to read Anthony Trollope’s Chronicles of Barsetshire for years. As Penguin have launched the Penguin English Library this year and will be publishing the whole series in the coming months I thought this was as good a moment as any to finally get around to it. I’ll be posting my thoughts on each book as I read it. I’ll be reading the PEL,  so each review will be of that book in particular, which means I’ll also reflect on the essay that appears at the end of every PEL edition.

  • The Warden
  • Barchester Towers
  • Dr Thorne
  • Framley Parsonage
  • The Small House at Allington
  • The Last Chronicle of Barset
